Background and Information About Gay-Straight Alliances
Gay-Straight Alliances (GSAs) are student clubs that work to improve school climate for all students, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression. 
States with Safe Schools Laws
Only 11 states and the District of Columbia protect students from bullying and harassment based on sexual orientation. Only 7 states and D.C. include gender identity/expression.
